It is our great pleasure to send you the 2nd announcement of the 7th International Conference

“Aegean Analytical Chemistry Days” (AACD 2010)

29 September - 03 October 2010, Lesvos, Greece

Since 1998, the AACD conferences have provided an excellent framework for the presentation of new trends and developments in analytical chemistry, as well as new applications of environmental, food and industrial analysis, with a special emphasis to quality aspects. At the same time, the AACD conferences have promoted the presentation of young scientists’ research and the exchange of ideas, encouraging thus collaborations and joint research projects. The 7th Aegean Analytical Chemistry Days (AACD2010) will be organized in the Gulf of Gera, Lesvos, a place of outstanding natural beauty.

The scientific program will be focused on:

- Atomic and Molecular Spectrometry - Sample Preparation
- Mass Spectrometry - Chemometrics
- Bioanalytical and Clinical Analysis - Quality control / Quality assurance and Chemical Metrology
- Chromatography and Separation Techniques - Environmental Analysis
- Electroanalytical Methods and Biosensors - Food Analysis
- Speciation Analysis - Pharmaceutical Analysis

On the opening ceremony, a tribute to Professors Emeriti Freddy Adams and Alan Townshend will be organized and they will offer us two excellent Opening Honorary Lectures.

Moreover, thirteen internationally recognized invited speakers will give lectures on the corresponding fields. Please, visit the web pages of the conference for a detailed list of the invited speakers and the titles of their lectures.

Emphasis will also be given to thematic poster presentations and young scientists’ contributions. Poster awards are foreseen.

ANALYTICAL LETTERS, the internationally recognized journal for the rapid publication of original research papers, will produce a special issue for the AACD 2010 conference.
